The Gold Standard Restoration Act in the House

Rep. Alex Mooney addressed the House on the Gold Standard Restoration Act:
'My bill would return the U.S. to the gold standard, protect against Washington's irresponsible spending habits and the creation of money out of thin air.
Prices would be shaped by economics rather than the instincts of bureaucrats.
No longer would our economy be at the mercy of the Federal Reserve and reckless Washington spenders', Alex Mooney said.

Donald Trump is against CBDCs

Donald Trump firmly opposes the idea of the Federal Reserve creating a central bank digital currency (CBDC) in the United States and vows to "never allow" the creation of such currency if elected.
His strong declaration to "never allow" the issuance of a CBDC reflects concerns about potential implications, such as privacy issues, government control, or disruptions to the existing financial system.
"As your president, I will never allow the creation of a central bank digital currency.
Such a currency would give a federal government, our federal government, the absolute control over your money, they could take your money and you wouldn't even know it was gone.
This would be a dangerous threat to freedom and I will stop it from coming to America", Trump stated during a speech in New Hampshire on January 17.

President Trump signed an Executive Memorandum on August 8 related to student loan relief.
Secretary DeVos announced that she has fully implemented Mr. Trump's directive.

G-20 Plans Extraordinary Meeting to Discuss Debt Relief

Finance ministers and central bankers from the worlds largest economies plan to hold an extraordinary meeting on November 13 to discuss bolder action to help poor nations struggling to repay their debts.
The meeting could mark the next phase in the global debt-relief drive-by bolstering coordination between government creditors over how to restructure the debts of poor economies hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
