President Donald Trump's first executive order today provides a payroll tax holiday to Americans earning less than $100,000 per year.
The administration is also looking at cuts to income taxes for lower and middle-income individuals, as well as cuts capital gains taxes.

BRICS quantum tech partnership
Russian scientist Alexey Fedorov is the leader of the Quantum Information Technologies group at Moscow-based Quantum Center.He expressed a desire to develop close partnerships with China and India in the field of quantum technology.
When the city of Kazan hosts the BRICS conference the following year, Russia aims to make its case.
Fedorov: Because together we can make things which are very hard to do alone.
We can collaborate about quantum computing, maybe solving problems and exchanging opinions and we collaborate about quantum sensing and different technologies and make our BRICS alliance to be stronger.

SWIFT plans new service, Digital EURO on the horizon
SWIFT announced plans for a new service to help banks improve the experience for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and consumers who send low-value payments across borders. The service will enable these bank customers to make faster, easier, predictable and competitively priced payments all around the world.The European Central Bank (ECB) announced that it will start conducting experiments to decide whether to launch a digital euro. In a report setting out the pros and cons of launching a digital euro, the ECB said that it could support the Eurosystems objectives by providing citizens with a safe form of money in the fast-changing digital world.

Ghana Launches Gold Coin to Boost Savings
The Bank of Ghana has introduced a new gold coin to enhance money-market liquidity and promote domestic savings.Made from locally mined gold, the coin is refined to 99.99% purity.
It is issued and guaranteed by the central bank, with three available sizes: one ounce, half ounce, and quarter ounce, according to Governor Ernest Addison.
The initiative aims to strengthen Ghana's financial market and savings culture.
"The Ghana gold coin enables the Bank of Ghana to mop up excess liquidity in the banking sector and will supplement the bank's bills for liquidity management. It gives those resident in Ghana an additional avenue to invest to reap the benefits of the Bank of Ghana???s domestic gold purchase program." Addison said.
