Iraq to Regain Control of Its Own currency

Washington stops the automatic deduction from Iraqi oil revenues to compensate Kuwait.
The Chairman of the Committee of Financial Experts, Abdul Basit Turki, revealed, Thursday, that the US Federal Reserve has stopped the automatic deduction from Iraqi oil revenues in favor of Kuwait's compensation.
Turki called for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the concerned authorities to move to urge the formulation of a draft resolution that includes removing Iraq from the provisions of Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations completely.
With Chapter 7 Lifted, Iraq Regains Control of Its Own currency, oil, and economy.

Russia invites Iraq to join BRICS

The Russian ambassador in Baghdad Elbrus Kutrashev invites Iraq to join BRICS.
He expressed personal ties to the country. Russia pledges support and dismisses any agenda against the U.S.
He recalls Iraq's resistance to American occupation and clarifies Russian companies' interest in Iraq as commercial expansion, not filling voids.
The ambassador denies plans to send Russian forces, emphasizing it's not Russia's approach but the U.S.'s.
Additionally, he mentions Iraq's role in mediating conflicts and affirms Russia's readiness for a solution.

Zimbabwe to back its currency with gold

Update: The IMF urged Zimbabwe to expedite currency reforms during a recent staff visit, emphasizing a move towards a market-driven exchange rate and the removal of existing distortions.
Zimbabwe's Finance Minister announced new measures to stabilize its local currency in an online press briefing held Monday.
Zimbabwe to back its currency with hard assets such as gold to end exchange-rate instability, Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube said.
"The idea going forward is to make sure that we manage the growth of liquidity which has a high correlation to money supply growth and inflation.
The way to do that is to link the exchange rate to some hard asset such as gold," said Ncube.
He also announced a conference of African ministers that Zimbabwe will host at the end of this month.
