At the initiative of the Saudi side, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
They discussed cooperation in the SCO , MBS expressed his readiness to actively participate in its work.
The parties also discussed the coordination of the two countries in order to ensure stability in oil market.

International banking alliance using Ripple

National Australia Bank (NAB) has signed agreements with two leading global financial institutions:
- Israel's Bank Leumi;
- The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC);
- to form an international banking innovation alliance.
It is partnering with the alliance using Ripple's blockchain network technology.
NAB is one of Australia's major 4 banks and forms an international bank innovation network.

The new name for military space professionals, announced on Friday by Vice President Mike Pence, may appear to be a play on the Marvel superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy. But Space Force officials said it was a callback to a 1983 motto.
Vice President Mike Pence announces that uniformed members of the U.S. Space Force will be called Guardians. There you have it: Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Guardians.

First Manned Flying Car

Japanese company successfully tested a manned flying car for the first time.
Sky Drive Inc., a Toyota-backed start-up with a mission for developing flying cars, has conducted the public demonstration on August 25, manned test flight of one its aerial vehicles after years of work. The SD-03, with its glossy white exteriors and sleek aerodynamic body, flew around Toyota Test Field, showing the world that such a thing as flying cars can exist beyond fantasy and fiction.

Russia to test payments in digital currencies

Russia is ready to start testing payments in digital currencies with China or countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and will promote the idea with its partners,
Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told state media in remarks published on Monday.
Siluanov: "We discussed this topic at the end of last year at the inter-ministerial dialogue."
He restated that any foreign acts involving Russian assets would be met with an equal response from Moscow.

BRICS Common Currency report

The planned BRICS cross-border currency is an important step in challenging the dominance of the U.S. dollar, according to Zhou Yu, director of international finance Research at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, revealed a recent report from China's Global Times.
Zhou states that the recent moves to support local currency settlement have given the BRICS countries a competitive advantage in reducing the dominance of the dollar in international trade.
Iran, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Egypt are among the potential countries to join and adopt the BRICS currency in 2023.
